This unit accepts and stores Olympic plates for the base Functional Trainer and Smith Bar.
Q: What is the cable rating?
The functional training cable is a 6.2 mm nylon coated mil-spec aircraft quality cable tested to 2,000 lb.
Q: What is the cable pulley ratio?
The G15 features a patent-pending dual pulley system with interchangeable 2:1 and 4:1 cable ratios. The 2:1 ratio means that if you have 100 lb loaded, the resistance is 50 lb. The 4:1 ratio means that if you have 100 lb loaded, the resistance is 25 lb.
Q: How does the pulley system switch between ratios?
Switching between cable ratios is easy! To access the 2:1 ratio on the functional trainer pulley system, clip the attachment's carabiner onto both the top and bottom pulley cable ends. To access the 4:1 ratio on the cable pulley system, clip the attachment's carabiner onto the top pulley cable end, and you're all set. It's that simple!
Q: What is the minimum ceiling height I need?
The minimum ceiling height to do a full pull-up with your head above the bar is 7 ft 8 in.
Q: What is the shipping weight?
The shipping weight of the G15 plus boxes, packing materials, and the pallet is approximately 1,213 lb. It is delivered in four wooden crates by a freight trucking company.
Q: Does it come assembled?
No, this unit requires assembly. You can find all the necessary tools and instructions in the crate. In addition, we offer a third-party professional assembly service option at the top of this page that will set up the base unit, so you don't have to!
Q: How long does it take to assemble a G15?
Assembly of the G15 takes around 6 hours. All necessary tools and hardware are included in the box. While it can be done alone, using ratchets and having someone assist will speed up the process.
